
ABOUT ME
​
I have worked with VIT-AP University as Assistant Professor in Anthropology at School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Prior to academic I have spend more than five years working with different tribal communities, internally displaced persons due to disasters and development. I have also worked with different government and non-government organizations such as Anthropological Survey of India-Ministry of culture, Vasundhara research and policy, UNICEF, UNDP, independent asylum commission London, refugee council UK etc. Recently awarded InSC Young Researcher Award 2020. Also received award for Best researcher (Publications) 2021 and Best Non-Technical Student Club (Sanskriti) award 2021 from VIT-AP University.

I held a MA in Refugee studies from the University of East London. My PhD. research was on the reproductive healthcare of displaced indigenous communities from protected areas India. My research interest includes ethnography, forced migration, gender and health, Anthropology of Technology, and climate change adaptation. I am also a regional coordinator to Avoidable Death Network. I also take independent development consultant assignment.
